Sara Freeman

Feminist Film Theorist Extraordinaire

Portfolio

As a film lover and devout feminist, my main goal in life is to make the world, cinematic or otherwise, a better place for women to live in. I review and analyze films from a feminist perspective in order illuminate the positive and negative sides of the industry. Though my own personal tastes generally gravitate toward the classic sensations of the golden age of Hollywood, I am also skilled in theorizing contemporary culture, especially when I'm able to relate it back to the old days and the old stars.

Here are some examples of my work, which includes essays, reviews, and interviews.
